Models

The e-Framework Technical Model is being reviewed and updated based on the experience gained since the formation of the e-Framework Partnership. Draft documents of the model are currently undergoing internal review and some definitions of terms still need to be refined. The next version will be published soon. Technical Components

Introduction of the core technical components of the e-Framework model; illustrative examples as well as the formal definitions.

  • Service Genre - a collection of related behaviours describing an abstract capability that supports a business process
  • Service Expression - a specific way to realise an abstract, generalised Service Genre with particular interfaces and standards
  • Service Usage Model (SUM) - the relationships among technical components (services) used for software applications to meet real business needs
  • Descriptions of Standards (eFDOS) [anticipated later in 2009]
